I headed up to Seattle last last weekend for my cousin’s graduation at UW. 

• Friday: arrived in Seattle around 10:30PM. My cousin drove us over to this place where you could see all the city lights in Seattle including a view of the space needle. It was really nice. We headed over to our motel afterwards (which was in a really sketchy area.. surrounded by weed dispensaries and a vacant motel across the street graffiti-ed all over with the ominous message “STRIKE BACK MAY 5TH”)
• Saturday: Headed over to the field where UW’s grad was happening. my cousin is running late to her own grad and on the freeway, it suddenly becomes bumper to bumper traffic and a crazy car hits the car behind us which in turn smashes into us. :C the car was still okay to drive, but huge dent in the back. the grad ceremony itself was alright. afterwards, i was my cousin’s personal bitch and helped her take pictures of her with all her friends… haha! :p afterwards we headed over to a restaurant called Red Lantern. I really liked the basil shrimp they had there. It was really good ^_^. afterwards I think we headed to Molly Moon’s where I tried Earl Gray Ice cream for the first time. Which was AMAZING. then, we went with her to a graduation party. and my cousin almost walked into the WRONG house haha. at the party they were watching a pacquiao match. it was the first boxing match i watched and it left me utterly confused. pacquiao was winning everything, from the looks of it and statistically, yet he.. lost?
• Sunday: First my cousin took us on a tour of UW. We helped her take some pictures in her cap and gown and she let us try it on hehe. The campus is really beautiful! we tried climing some trees and stuff. I kind of wish I applied there. After we went to Pike’s place and did some touristy things. walked by the first Starbuck’s, got some Russian pastries, and went inside this store where they sold old magazines and postcards and posters and maps. I really wanted to buy something, but i didn’t have enough time to peruse. then we went to the gum wall where we contributed our gum to ^_^. after, my cousin took us to church. she actually didn’t give us a choice. “HEY, I’M TAKING YOU GUYS TO CHURCH OKAY”. well it was her last service there so she wanted to say her goodbyes. it was alright, but i felt super awkward…. then we had thai food for dinner and ice cream at full tilt afterwards. 
• Monday: in the morning i met up with my friend that i met at MoHo (who instead decided to go to UW). she joined me and my family. we had brunch at this cafe place. i had eggs benedict + potatos and i was so full. it was pretty good. afterwards we went to gas works which is this ridiculously beautiful place by the water in seattle and you have a great view of the water and the city and the skyline and it’s very nice. ^_^. they had green grass hills and people were laying there absorbing the sun and playing frisbee. afterwards my friend left and we went to discovery park which is like a nature reserve type place. we walked down this trail for awhile, then we drove to this beach type place near a lake house. it was beautiful. took a few pictures and then we had to head to the airport to go back to san jose
